Gloria Hotels Belek:
The Complete Guide to Turkey’s Pioneer of Luxury All Inclusive
Three resorts. Forty-five holes of championship golf. Thirty years of redefining what an all inclusive holiday in Turkey can be. This is the story of Gloria — and the guide to choosing the right property for your holiday.
Booking note: All three Gloria Hotels properties are available through GotoBeach as complete ATOL-protected package holidays — flights from UK airports, hotel and transfers included. Caria Holidays Ltd, ATOL #11211. Low deposits from £30pp.
Özaltın Holding — The Family Behind Gloria
Nuri Özaltın founded Özaltın Holding and took the group into tourism in the mid-1990s, at a time when Belek was largely undeveloped pine forest and the concept of genuinely high-end all inclusive hospitality in Turkey was still taking shape. Gloria Hotels was the vehicle through which the group entered the market: multiple à la carte restaurants, golf integrated directly into the resort, private beach access, and a standard of food that the Özaltın family — who came from the restaurant business — treated as non-negotiable. That background shows, across all three properties, to this day.
The group has built and operated everything on its own equity and has never outsourced management. That matters: the consistency across the Gloria campus — in food quality, staff culture and physical upkeep — reflects a group that is accountable to itself rather than to a management contract.
“Gloria was among the first hotel groups in Turkey to take the all inclusive concept seriously at the high end. The food across all three properties still reflects a family that started in restaurants.”
Thomas — GotoBeach Product Manager, May 2026Gloria Hotels operates three distinct resort properties in Belek, each with its own character, positioning and ideal guest profile. Here is the honest comparison.
Gloria Verde Resort
Gloria Verde Resort is the property most UK guests discover first, and for straightforward reasons: it sits at the heart of the Gloria campus alongside the Acısu River and the pine forest, offering a broad range of facilities and a well-run all inclusive programme. The food quality is consistently praised by returning guests — the main buffet operates at a noticeably higher standard than many comparable properties in Belek, which reflects the group’s restaurant background.
The Kids Concept programme is genuinely comprehensive: a dedicated kids’ restaurant, movie screenings, creativity workshops, origami, handcrafting, a mini club and a zoo. For families with children across a range of ages, it works well. The aquapark adds appeal for older children and teenagers.
One honest note: Gloria Verde is a lively, family-focused resort. In peak season — July and August — the pools and restaurants are busy and the atmosphere reflects that. Couples looking for a quieter, more relaxed environment will find Gloria Serenity a considerably better fit.
Gloria Golf Resort
Gloria Golf Resort is the original property and the largest in the group — 515 rooms including suites and villas, nine restaurants and bars, an outdoor and indoor pool complex, a Turkish bath, a fitness centre and tennis courts. It is a big resort, and in peak season it feels like one. The pools and restaurants handle a lot of guests, and guests who find large resort environments overwhelming should consider Serenity instead.
Two restaurants here deserve a mention. The Elia Greek Restaurant is a proper Greek à la carte — not a hotel approximation of Greek food. The Greek salad is how a Greek salad should actually taste: crisp, generous, properly seasoned. Thomas has eaten a lot of them across the Aegean and rates this one. And then there is Turkuaz, the Turkish à la carte, where the kebabs are genuinely good — the kind you find yourself thinking about when you get home. If you are staying here and skip Turkuaz, you have made a mistake.
Cross-property dining is available for villa guests — they can eat and drink at Gloria Serenity and Verde as well. For golfers, access to the 45-hole Gloria Golf Club is the main draw, though green fees, buggies and tee time availability vary by season and should be confirmed before booking.
Gloria Golf Club — 45 Holes in Belek’s Pine Forest
Gloria Golf Club is Turkey’s largest golf complex — 45 holes across three courses, a large driving range and a practice putting green. The courses have hosted professional tournaments including the European Senior Tour and the annual Gloria Özaltın Championship. For guests who are coming to Belek specifically to play golf, it is a strong reason to choose the Gloria campus over other Belek hotels.
One practical note: green fees, buggy hire and tee time availability vary by season and by which Gloria property you are staying at. Rates are not always fixed, and what is included in your all inclusive programme is not always what you might assume. Confirm the specifics with your GotoBeach specialist before booking rather than on arrival.
The original Gloria course — opened 1997. Tight driving holes through mature Aleppo pine forest, with a layout that demands accuracy over distance. A genuine test of course management. The course that established Gloria’s reputation in Turkish golf.
More open than the Old Course but considerably more demanding in its detail: 4 large lakes and 67 bunkers require strategic play throughout. Opened 2005. Consistently rated by visiting golfers as one of the finest layouts in Belek. Greens are fast and technically complex.
A beautifully designed 9-hole layout that works for all levels of golfer — beginners finding their feet in Belek, experienced players wanting a quick round, and families where one member plays and the other does not. An excellent introduction to the Gloria Golf experience.

Choose Gloria Verde if…
You are travelling with children and want the most complete kids’ programme in the Gloria portfolio. You are visiting Belek for the first time. You play occasional golf but it is not the primary reason for the trip. Bear in mind: Verde is a lively, family-focused resort. Couples who want a quieter environment will find Serenity a better fit.
Choose Gloria Golf if…
Golf is the main reason you are going. You want villa accommodation with more space and a garden terrace jacuzzi. You want the widest restaurant choice and cross-property dining as a villa guest. Note: at 515 rooms it is the largest of the three and feels it in peak season — not the right choice for guests who find big resorts draining.
Choose Gloria Serenity if…
You are a couple, or you are travelling without children, and you want a more refined atmosphere with better guest satisfaction scores. The 2023 renovation makes this the most up-to-date property on the campus. Not the right fit for families who need a proper kids’ programme — Verde covers that much better.
Can I use facilities across all three Gloria Hotels?
Generally, each hotel’s all inclusive programme covers facilities within that property. The exception is villa guests at Gloria Golf Resort, who have cross-property dining and drinks access at Gloria Serenity and Gloria Verde. Confirm the exact current cross-property access terms with your GotoBeach specialist at the time of booking, as these are subject to seasonal variation.
Which Gloria Hotel has the best food?
All three Gloria properties are consistently praised for food quality — the Özaltın family’s background in the restaurant business is reflected across the group’s kitchens. Gloria Serenity receives the most specific and emphatic praise in guest reviews, with one regular guest stating the buffet “is even better and more delicious than the à la carte restaurants of many top-tier hotels.” Gloria Verde is also very highly rated for buffet quality and variety, particularly given the scale of the operation.
How do I access Gloria Golf Club?
All three Gloria Hotels properties offer guests access to Gloria Golf Club’s 45-hole complex. Gloria Golf Resort guests receive full access; Gloria Verde and Gloria Serenity guests receive discounted green fees. Tee time bookings should be made through the hotel’s golf concierge on arrival. The club includes a large driving range, 8,600 square foot putting green and a PADI-certified golf academy for beginners. Buggies are available at an additional charge. Confirm current green fee rates with your GotoBeach specialist before booking.
Is Gloria Serenity adults-only?
No — Gloria Serenity Resort is not formally adults-only, and children are welcome. However, the property’s atmosphere, facilities and guest profile skew considerably more towards adults, couples and older guests than Gloria Verde or Gloria Golf. Guests travelling with young children who want an extensive kids’ programme will find Gloria Verde a better fit.
When is the best time to visit Gloria Hotels in Belek?
May, June and September are the optimal months for most guests — reliably warm (26–30°C), uncrowded relative to peak season and considerably better priced than July and August. For golfers, April, May, October and November offer the most comfortable playing conditions, with temperatures of 18–26°C and courses in excellent condition. July and August are the hottest months (32–36°C) and peak family season — book early for these periods to secure preferred room categories.
What is the airport transfer time to Gloria Hotels?
Gloria Hotels are located in Belek, approximately 35 kilometres east of Antalya International Airport (AYT). The transfer takes approximately 30–35 minutes under normal traffic conditions. GotoBeach includes return airport transfers as part of all package bookings to the Gloria Hotels properties.
Are Gloria Hotels good for families?
Yes — particularly Gloria Verde and Gloria Golf. Gloria Verde’s Kids Concept is one of the most comprehensive children’s programmes at any Belek resort: a dedicated kids’ restaurant, mini club, movie screenings, creativity workshops, origami, handcrafting, a mini zoo and activities covering ages 1 to 17. The aquapark adds further appeal for older children. Gloria Golf’s villa section is particularly practical for families needing more space.
