How we put this review together
Rixos Radamis Sharm El Sheikh is one of the resorts we're asked about most for the Red Sea, so it's one I keep a close eye on. This review was researched, written and approved by the GoToBeach product team. The hotels we feature are selected, contracted or reviewed by us, and this assessment draws on supplier information, guest feedback and our own knowledge of the Nabq Bay resort strip.
One point of clarity up front: "Rixos Radamis Sharm El Sheikh" is actually a large complex made up of three connected hotels — Blue Planet, Tirana and the Beachside (Beach) section this review focuses on. The three share the same headline facilities — the aqua park, the Rixy Kids Town, the spa and most of the restaurants — so much of what follows applies across the resort, with the Beach wing being the part closest to the sand. Facilities and concepts change by season, so please confirm the current details with us when you book. Tripadvisor figures were correct at the time of writing.
If you want a big, modern, ultra all-inclusive Red Sea resort that throws everything at keeping children happy — and gives the grown-ups a proper holiday too — Rixos Radamis Beach is one of the strongest names in Sharm El Sheikh right now. It's a newer, families-and-couples resort in Nabq Bay, and it leans hard into the things Egypt does brilliantly: sunshine you can rely on almost year-round, warm Red Sea water, and an all-inclusive offer with serious scale.
Below is my honest take — what it does very well, and the few things I'd want you to know before you book.

Location: Nabq Bay, minutes from the airport
Rixos Radamis sits in Nabq Bay, the newer luxury strip at the northern end of Sharm El Sheikh, right by the Red Sea. The headline practical win is the transfer: it's only about four miles from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, so you're often poolside within half an hour of landing — a real bonus with tired children. Nabq is quieter and more resort-focused than the buzz of Naama Bay, which is a 20–30 minute drive away if you want a livelier night out.
| Where | Nabq Bay, Sharm El Sheikh, on Egypt's Red Sea coast |
|---|---|
| Sharm El Sheikh Airport | About 4 miles — typically a 10–15 minute transfer |
| Naama Bay | Around 9 miles — the livelier bar-and-restaurant district |
| Beach | Private sandy Red Sea beach; reached from some buildings by a free golf-buggy shuttle |
| Guest policy | Families and couples only — no large single-sex groups |
The kids' side: where this resort really wins
If you're travelling with children, this is the headline. The complex's Rixy Kids Town is one of the most thought-through children's offerings in Sharm — effectively a little world of its own, with its own reception and restaurant, a supervised club, a games room with arcade and table games, and themed "academies" that go well beyond the usual: an acting studio, a pretend fire and police department, a robotics lab, a dance centre, a chef academy and a gardening area, plus an outdoor playground. Children genuinely get tired out here in the best way, which is exactly what a family resort should do.
The water is the other big draw. There's an aqua park with slides, large pools including an infinity pool, and — a lovely touch — a gondola ride that drifts through a landscaped lagoon, especially pretty after dark. It's the kind of "wow" detail that makes a holiday memorable for younger guests.
Food & drink: scale is the point
Across the complex there are around 17 restaurants, so even over a longer stay you won't run out of choice. The main buffets (Turquoise, Veranda and Sapphire) cover breakfast, lunch and dinner with a broad international and local spread, and the à la carte venues are where it gets interesting: Mediterranean and modern Italian at Riviera and L'Olivio, Turkish heritage cooking at Lalezar, and a strong Far Eastern line-up across Mandarin, Wabi Sabi and a Teppanyaki table where the chefs put on a show. Add all-day snacking, a patisserie habit my own notes always mention, and bars dotted across the resort, and the all-inclusive genuinely earns the "ultra" label.
| Main buffets | Turquoise, Veranda and Sapphire — international and local; included. |
|---|---|
| Signature à la carte | Riviera and L'Olivio (Mediterranean / Italian), Lalezar (Turkish), Mandarin, Wabi Sabi and Teppanyaki (Far Eastern) — reserve ahead; some may carry a supplement. |
| For children | A dedicated kids' restaurant inside Rixy Kids Town. |
| The concept | Ultra all-inclusive: buffet meals, snacks, late bites and a range of local and selected imported drinks. Freshly squeezed juices, premium spirits and some à la carte venues can carry an extra charge. |
Beach, pools & the grown-ups' side
The resort sits a little back from the shore, with a private sandy Red Sea beach reached from some buildings by a free golf-buggy shuttle — the Beach (Beachside) wing is the part closest to the sand, which is exactly why it's worth requesting if the beach matters to you. The Red Sea here is calm, warm and famous for its snorkelling, with sun loungers, umbrellas and a beach bar.
Away from the children's areas, there's a full spa with hammam, sauna and a treatment menu (treatments usually charged separately), a fitness centre and classes, and an evening entertainment programme with themed shows that keeps the atmosphere lively. It's a resort that's social and upbeat rather than hushed — which is a plus or a minus depending entirely on what you're after.
Rooms: modern, and worth choosing carefully
Rooms are modern and well kept, reflecting how new the resort is, with air conditioning, a minibar, tea and coffee facilities and a balcony or terrace. Superior rooms run to around 430 square feet, and there are layouts built for families as well as suites for more space.
| Room type | Good to know |
|---|---|
| Superior Room | Around 430 sq ft, king or twin beds — the comfortable all-rounder. |
| Family Room | More space and sleeping for children — the natural family pick. |
| Junior Suite | A step up in space for couples or smaller families wanting more room. |
| Two-Bedroom Deluxe Suite | Garden or pool views and proper space for larger families. |
My honest steer: because this is a big complex of three hotels, the building you're allocated affects your walk to the beach and the main facilities. Tell us your priorities — beach-close, pool-close or near Rixy Kids Town — and we'll request the right wing, the Beach section included. It's exactly the sort of detail we check.
Who it's for — and who it isn't
Strong fit for
- Families wanting a standout kids' club — the Rixy Kids Town is the reason many guests book
- Water-loving families: aqua park, infinity pool and the lagoon gondola
- Travellers who value a very short airport transfer with young children
- Food-led guests who want genuine restaurant choice over a long stay
- Couples and families who like a lively, modern, entertainment-led resort
Less suitable for
- Couples after a small, quiet, adults-only retreat — this is large, busy and family-focused
- Anyone who wants to step straight onto the beach from their room, rather than take a short buggy shuttle
- Guests who won't reserve à la carte venues and kids' activities ahead in peak weeks
- Travellers who prefer a long-established hotel with a big review history — this one is still newer
Booking & protection
Low deposit: a deposit of just £60 per person, plus the cost of your flights, secures the holiday at the time of booking — flights are dynamically priced, so seats are confirmed straight away. The remaining balance (hotel, transfers and any extras) is then due around 12 weeks before departure.
Financial protection: your package is ATOL protected under licence 11211 (Caria Holidays Ltd). ATOL covers the failure of the package itself; it is not travel insurance and does not cover operational disruptions, so we always recommend taking out appropriate travel insurance as well.
Our price policy: if you find the same package on a like-for-like basis elsewhere, send it to us and we'll review it under our price policy.
